WASPAN is the association of value-added service providers in Nigeria, services beyond the simple sending of an SMS or placing a call to another mobile user. We aim to provide a self-regulating mechanism for our members (present and future) in accordance with the principles of fairness, transparency and good corporate practice.
Member WASPs are professional providers of niche value-added services to Nigerian mobile services end users via the infrastructure of mobile network operators and the general internet (as in the case of OTT), providing a unique forum for communication, enabling interactions on present and new platforms, relentlessly pursuing the provision of services defined by professional research and innovation to fill identified subscriber need gaps.
With targeted research, we craft new and existing interactive mobile services in ways they have never before been delivered, adapting success models to local preferences, tastes and needs. Forming and nurturing alliances - local and international - we continue to explore and develop operational mastery in services that find novel and better ways to satisfy mobile subscribers.
